The place
The marine park, the reef and the village set the rhythm. Houses here are often lower and more hidden than on a resort beach: makuti, coral stone, a path through trees, then sand.
It is a strong choice for couples and for anyone who would rather hear insects than a beach bar. If you want a livelier base, say so — we will not pretend every Watamu house is remote.
